Founder & Creative Director at Typeslowly.
I am a client facing, concept writing art director that can design interfaces and write code. Throughout my career I have held senior design positions and worked as a freelance designer at award winning design studios.
Back in 2006 I worked as a freelance designer at Preloaded on the BAFTA award wining Level-UP! web site for the BBC. Most recently, in 2009, I spent 6 weeks with DNX designing and coding a micro site for Gatwick Airport. I also freelanced at Ted Baker and regularly produce work for Point Blank Collective, part of Exposure. Between all these things I operate Typeslowly, a web design and development studio in Manchester.
I have worked on graphic design and web development projects for clients that include; 55DSL(Diesel), British Gas, British Telecom, Cartoon Network, Channel 4, Channel 5, Emap, Gatwick Airport, ITV, MTV, Prescott & Conran, Tui, Tearfund, and Ted Baker.
Did I mention code? I have been coding since 1999, all the usual; Actionscript (1/2/3), PHP, MySQL, Javascript, XML, HTML and CSS. I use Codeigniter, JQuery, and prefer hand writing standards compliant semantic HTML in Coda. If I am coding HTML email campaigns I mix it up in Dreamweaver, it is just easier when your dealing with tables, I know enough already!
